We Are The Blog Designing Dudes
“I found myself declaiming, full flower, for an hour on the “utmost importance and urgency” of Blogging, telling him in no uncertain terms that, especially in a high-end niche business, Blogging is “the premier way” to have “intimate conversations” with his Clients. Funny thing, I believe it!”
- Tom Peters
Dude Blog Your Business is jointly owned and run by Jasper Blake (left) and David Kellett, and is based in Phoenix Arizona.
Jasper Blake
Jasper Blake is British by birth and has been in the USA for about 3 years, having met his American wife online! The internet has always been good to him!
Jasper has a Bachelors Degree in Archaeology and went on to learn html & web design at Gloucester Regional Business School in Britain. Prior to getting into the blogging business, he worked out in the Phoenix Valley deserts as a professional archaeologist – until the housing slump dried up all the development work.
He is also involved in procuring fine art for Karuna Village – the retail arm of the Fair Trade Cafe in Downtown Phoenix and a non-profit agency for promoting fair trade by providing an outlet for artisans across the globe – www.karunavillage.com
For DBYB he is the main point of contact with the client, as well as being a content writer, strategy consultant and blogging teacher. Graphic Design, Blog Design and anything that has the word “code” involved in it is the work of partner Dave Kellett.
David Kellett
David has been writing since his youth, so it was only natural that he would find his way into blogging. One day in the 1990’s, he decided that the life of an aspiring writer was not all it was cracked up to be. In the interest of embracing a change, he moved to San Francisco, enrolled in the Graphic Design program at a small private college and began working as a production designer while going to school.
It wasn’t long before the Dotcom Boom had permeated every aspect of life in the Bay Area, and his focus quickly shifted to New Media. For the next decade, he watched the rise and fall of numerous dotcoms and start-up ventures, while learning the ins and outs of Online Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. It became undeniably apparent that, when put in the proper context, blogging could be beneficial to a large segment of society, in ways that many had never imagined.
“I feel very fortunate to have been in the Bay Area during those years. The excitement and the optimism was like nothing I’ve ever seen, and the repercussions from the events of that particular time and place still account for much of the enthusiasm I have today. All these years later, it’s still very new, and I continue to marvel at the possibilities…”
Upon meeting Jasper Blake, he had found the ideal partner who shared this vision. All they needed was a name…
